Start with a little retail therapy.
You’re always welcome at Tutto Bello (its our favourite store in town). Here you'll find all things beautiful. Spoil yourself with pieces from our luxury beauty ranges or natural textures from our linen and leather collections.
Don’t look past Hennessy Home and Garden which lies further down the main street at number 137. Add to your pot and plant collection after a visit to this family-owned homewares store. Here you’ll find an abundance of gorgeous growing green leaves and vines to choose from.
What’s a getaway without a friendly visit to the Lolly Shop? (For the kids - of course)
Home to old fashioned lollies and chocolates, the Rutherglen Lolly Shop will be a family favourite. Step back in time and treat yourself to something sweet or boiled from the shelves or save some room for an ice cream scoop. Will it be choc mint or lemon gelato?
Walking weather?
If the sun is shining then you’re in luck! Breathe in the fresh country air with a walk around Lake King, filled with peaceful scenery and local bird life. You might like to pack a picnic lunch or teach the kids how to throw in a fishing line.
If the historic route is top of your list, then a wander through Rutherglen’s heritage buildings is the perfect walk for you. Stroll through town and admire the ornate period buildings which will quickly catch your eye.

Enjoy fresh dishes, local wine and beers while listening to live music in September at the Pickled Sisters café. This fun and rustic regional space will play host to their Courtyard Tunes over a few Spring weekends.
